Verizon recently launched an iPhone 4S commercial, its first perhaps. However, rather that advertising the new handset’s many features, America’s No. 1 carrier uses the airtime to do what it does best: bash AT&T.
A new ChangeWave survey indicates Verizon iPhone owners are happier with their handheld service and received fewer dropped calls than AT&T users. Plus, new iPhone customers will mostly likely select Verizon over AT&T. The poll collected data from 4,068 consumers from the Verizon iPhone debut in early February through March 28.
Verizon has launched another iPhone ad, showing off the combined power of an iPhone 4, with America's "most reliable" network. And, Verizon's "Can you hear me now?" guy makes an appearance, too!
According to the latest rumor, the Verizon iPhone will be available at Best Buy as early as February 10, according to an anonymous 9to5Mac tipster. As you can see in the above screenshot, the Verizon handset is given the "in stock date," of February 10, 2011.
Verizon will reportedly start taking pre-orders for the iPhone on February 3, at 3AM EST. Existing Verizon customers will be able to buy the iPhone that day, a week ahead of the general public.
Verizon has responded to AT&T's claims that Verizon iPhone users will be trapped in the "slow lane." Verizon spokesman Jeffrey Nelson is quoted by The New York Times as saying: "it must be backwards day at AT&T."
