Powerful illustration app Procreate for iPad has recently been updated with a number of new features.

A New Graphics Engine and More

A New Graphics Engine and More

One of the biggest change is a revamped graphics engine. Named Valkryie, the engine takes full advantage of Apple’s Metal technology for the best possible performance. The app now supports up to 120fps on supported tablets.

A big new addition in version 5.0 is the Animation Assist. The tool allows users to create great animations, animatics, and looping GIFs to share.

The new Brush Studio brings more than 100 new settings with different customization options along with a drawing pad to experiment. Speaking of brushes, the app now allows you to import your favorite options from Adobe Photoshop.

You can also swipe to individual brushes and tap Combine to create a new unique brush.

With the clone adjustment, you can use any brush to paint with the contents of your layer. Just hold it to lock into place.

Developer Savage Interactive has also added additional color-related features.

Designed for all iPad models, Procreate Pocket can be downloaded for a one-time purchase of $9.99.
