Apple has recently switched on the previously announced Sports section of the TV app in the latest beta versions of iOS 11.2 and tvOS 11.2. On your iOS device, the Sports tab appears right after the Watch Now button on the bottom of the TV app.

The section will also allow users to select their favorite squads and see when they are about to play.

The section will also allow users to select their favorite squads and see when they are about to play.

Currently, only ESPN content is available through the section, but that should likely change in the future. After opening up the section, you’ll see upcoming games on the network, which is mostly basketball at the moment.

You can also browse by sports and view previous games.

At the very bottom of the section, you can select the banner and then choose favorite teams in a wide variety of different leagues. Games involving favorite teams will be added to Up Next and you’ll also receive a notification when the team is about to play.

Both iOS 11.2 and tvOS 11.2 are currently in beta testing. The fifth version beta versions of both were seeded to registered developers and members of the public beta program on Tuesday.

The general public should be able to download both by the end of 2017.
