This is ASLRRA 2012: CONNECTIONS, the ASLRRA’s 99th Annual Convention and it is not only our premier annual event but it is also the only event of its kind geared to the small railroad industry. The convention includes a two-day general session, 42 breakout tracks, two training sessions, and a sold-out exhibit hall. Our general session speakers include Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels; Michael Ward, Chairman, President & CEO of CSX Transportation, Hon. Joseph Szabo, FRA Administrator; and a panel of Short Line Holding Company CEOs: John Giles, RailAmerica; Jack Hellman, G&W, Inc.; and Rick Webb, Watco Companies. Our breakout tracks cover the areas of Engineering & MOW; Finance & Human Resources; Legal; Legislative and Community Outreach; Marketing; Operations & Safety; and Technology. We anticipate more than 1600 attendees at this year’s event.
