The tournament is witness participation of teams. The captains of the teams are Manoj Tiwari, Ravi Kishen and Dinesh Lal Yadav Nirahua . The BIPL Season-1 matches has been played on October 24 and 25. Actors, producers, directors and technicians associated with Bhojpuri cinema are seen showing off their cricketing talent. The tournament is being organised by founder Mr. Pravesh Lal Yadav. Major challenge for Season 1 and Season 2 was to put up a show which is no less than any of the successful leagues but within the available resources and time frame. Pravesh Lal Yadav is founder of BIPL.
