CareAssess

CareAssess™ is a versatile platform for implementing real time performance assessment in healthcare settings, including training environments, clinics, field-based services, hospitals, surgical centers, etc. CareAssess™ connects to a library of assessment instruments that are available for numerous clinical disciplines (medicine, surgery, nursing, EMS, etc.), including specialty and subspecialty practice domains. The library of validated assessment instruments encompasses a broad selection of scales with varying precision (Rating, Categorical, Data Entry, etc.) that capture a wide spectrum of data (Rank order, text, numeric, categorical, etc.). Documentation may be attached to any assessment item using the mobile device’s media capture resources so that a photo, video, or audio clip may be added to provide additional performance information (e.g. a perfectly sutured incision or laceration). Assessments are easily accessed and implemented with the App, with each item and associated score clearly viewable in the easy to use interface. Active assessments may be completed at one time or saved as a draft to be completed at a later time.

When an assessment is completed, CareAssess™ generated data are written to a secure database to assure the privacy of users and the people who are assessed. Individual records are available for all users, the people who are assessed, and other individuals who may be added to the distribution list (e.g. supervisor, program director, etc.). Completed assessments are sent to the pre-selected individuals via email for their records, and if the assessed individuals have a CareAssess™ account they will also be available through App.

An analytical engine provides users with normative performance markers for assessment instruments in the pre-determined libraries. This allows users to see how well they perform relative to other users in the assessed domain, as well as where they might benefit from enhanced practice opportunities to improve performance. Users may select to archive completed assessments to create a portfolio of documented competency evidence in the performance domain for their records and to share with others.

CareAssess™ also supports the creation of user-initiated assessment instruments so users may target the App to a specific, custom assessment need.

The CareAssess™ App works in conjunction with a CareAssess™ license. The license allows for the selection of assessment libraries or the creation of custom assessment libraries.
