In 1982, newly graduated 20-year-old engineer student Duch Sim started an audio shop known as Cheang Sim. It became the first electronic shop of its time in Phnom Penh. A genocide survivor from Kampong Cham province, Sim trained the first wave of technicians after the Khmer Rouge. Thirty five years later, Cheang Sim is widely recognized as the oldest running electronic shop in Cambodia.
