ContactsCloseby allows you to find the people you already know who are in close proximity to you at that time.
In an airport? In a train station? In a shopping centre? In a sports stadium? In an office block? Use ContactsCloseby to find out if any of your existing contacts are in close proximity, and which would like to meet up in person!
ContactsCloseby allows you to share your location, selectively and anonymously with your private network of known contacts, and be told how many of your contacts are within 50 metres, 500 metres and 1 kilometre. These contacts remain anonymous unless they choose to respond to a message you send.
Here is how it works:
1. Invite your contacts to sign up for ContactsCloseby and add them to your network.
2. Add your contacts to groups as appropriate
3. Whenever you choose to share your location you will be told how many of your contacts in each group are within 50 metres, 500 metres and 1 kilometre of your location
4. You can then send the same message to whichever group(s) you choose
5. If one of your contacts chooses to reply to your message, their name will be revealed and you can then arrange to meet; for coffee, for dinner or just to talk

ContactsCloseby is safe –
• No sharing of telephone numbers or personal information; these contacts are all people you know already.
• No sharing of location, no being plotted on a map; ContactsCloseby works on proximity only
• No public broadcast of your position, only those people you have invited to join your network will be able to reference you.
• No automatic tracking of your location, you explicitly choose when to share your location
• No revealing of your location – your contacts will only be told that they have a contact in close proximity, your name will not be revealed unless you choose to
