App Store Description

Citizen's Weather Observer Program (CWOP) data are now available for the iPhone!

Many personal weather stations send data to a variety of outlets. One outlet is the CWOP program, to which users send data from their home personal weather stations. Upon receipt, CWOP checks the data for quality and consistency, then made available for viewing by the National Weather Service and the public.

This app provides an outlet for the many thousands of folks who participate in the CWOP program. Features of this app include:

- Live viewing of the latest submission to the CWOP program;

- A comprehensive list of nearby stations, their live data, and ability to see their quality of data;

- Graphs! Including wind speed, wet bulb, temperature, and dew point (scroll through them on the main screen);

- Can find your current location - great for travel in the U.S. or finding out which station has the best data near you. Simply tap on the 'crosshairs' icon;

- You can view the quality graphs for each station selected, providing an opportunity to judge the quality yourself or simply check on the quality of your own data!

Many thanks to the folks at MesoWest who have provided the API key for the data feed and maps!
