Darkness Alert

Whether you are a hiker, jogger, fisherman, hunter, or other outdoor activist, knowing when it’s getting too dark outside is essential information that helps you plan your activities. This app allows you to set reminders not only for the upcoming dusk but also for other sun and moon-related events, such as first light, sunrise, sunset, and when the moon is at its highest point in the sky. The app also determines if there is any moonlight tonight (and the size of the moon's disc) that could help illuminate the terrain.

At any time, you can check the current sun exposure levels (direct faced by observers or radiation received by earth), and see the current azimuth and altitude of both the moon and the sun. The app visualizes the expected paths across the sky, and colors the paths the sun takes between the summer and winter solstices.

This app allows you to set reminder notifications up to seven days in advance for various events. Once set, these reminders will work even if the app is terminated or if the phone is in offline mode.

To work, the app needs your location information and authorization to send Notifications. None of your information is shared with anyone. There are no advertisements in this app.
