What is it about?

If the object moves from the initial position to the end position, the directed line segment from the initial position to the end position is called displacement. Its size is the linear distance from the initial position to the end position of the moving object; the direction is from the initial position to the last position. The displacement is only related to the beginning and ending position of the motion of the object, and is independent of the trajectory of the motion. If the particle returns to its original position after a period of motion, the distance is not zero and the displacement is zero.
