Chat first: Once you’ve made a match, you can start a chat with your Fava buddy to discuss and arrange the details of the trade.

The Magic in Trading: In Fava, we believe in the reality of “One man's trash is another man's treasure.” This mantra a big part of what makes trading so much more rewarding than monetary transactions, that is, for every item you are receiving, you are also giving one to someone. Also, you are in turn contributing to a happier Earth that could do without more stockpiling!


The Sky is the Limit: Remember that cute little fairytale of Jack and the Beanstalk? Well, he was a Fava buddy and he didn’t even know it! Jack, a poor country boy, trades the family cow for a handful of magic beans, which grow into an enormous beanstalk reaching up into the clouds.

But here’s the kicker (no pun intended)—what if the owner of the fluffy boots wants your cute pink top?? We’ve got ourselves a Fava-Triangle! The three of you enter a chat where a triple-swap has you each with the item you wanted, which wouldn’t have otherwise worked out with two-people trades! Genius!
