App Store Description

FIND is designed for use in clinical practice and health research to streamline the collection and recording of pain, fatigue and exertion data from clients.

It is a valid, reliable and paperless way to record pain and fatigue before and after an intervention.
As well it records perceived exertion, enjoyment and benefits of an intervention.

The original use was to measure changes in pain and fatigue before and after an exercise intervention, as part of a project investigating the feasibility of interactive digital technology (FIND) as a rehabilitation tool for clients recovering from stroke. It utilises the standard horizontal VAS scales, but can be changed within the settings to use vertical or aphasia friendly scales as required.

Data collected is stored on the device and available to email to clinicians and researchers as a data file for analysis and permanent storage. This tool streamlines data collection, reduces transcription errors and provides secure storage of data, making it valuable for researchers involved in fieldwork. Remote monitoring and participatory health care of chronic pain conditions may be enhanced by clients using this tool at home.
