App Store Description

The once rumbling Hobblestone Mountain now slumbers quietly, while channels of magma flow beneath. In the depths, an ancient dungeon adorned with treasures is waiting for any hero who dare braves the gauntlets of old. Monstrous creatures roam the halls protecting the loot they have hidden away from the world. Many heroes who have attempted the challenge and failed become prisoners; heroes must collect gems to earn their freedom.

Players must navigate the perilous dangers of the procedural generated dungeons; including monsters, wyrms, lava streams, and gauntlet traps.

Gauntlets have various levels of difficulty, the harder the gauntlets the better the reward. Collect gems to unlock new characters or revive a fallen hero.

Tap to move forward and sweep to move in any direction. But whatever you do, don’t let the screen caught up to you or the dungeon master will end your run.

Every year at the University of Texas at Arlington the Art and Art History department offers the SEED summer workshop for a select group of high school students chosen from the surrounding area. Students learn the creative process and techniques required to craft a work of art during an intense two week period. In the Summer 2016, SEED students learned about game development and design by creating their very own mobile game. Hobblestone is a homage to the arcade classic Frogger.

If you or a child are interested in enrolling in future SEED workshops, please contact the UTA Art + Art History department’s office.
