Iron deficiency is common among premenopausal women and results from blood loss during menstruation or nutritional deficiency (eg, during pregnancy, due to a vegan diet). Symptoms include fatigue, weakness, difficulty concentrating, restless legs, hair loss, headache, dizziness, sore tongue, cold hands and feet, and infections.
Count, track, chart and control the iron provided by foods in your diet to ensure you are getting enough for the best possible health. Use the count and organiser tools to keep a daily record and bar chart illustration of the iron in mg and %RDA (Adult Daily Recommended Dietary Allowance) provided by 250 heart healthy foods, 55 popular "not heart healthy" foods, and foods you choose to add to the counter in the quantities you’ve eaten.
With around 200 photos and really useful within-app links to essential nutritional knowledge for health and 250 heart healthy foods (including heart-healthy scores), the app also provides invaluable information to support all types of diet.
The interface is easy, quick, and intuitive to navigate, colour-coded, searchable, and zoomable using the pinch screen function. Viewable in landscape and portrait.
