The "iWavit Dish" app turns the iPhone (or iPad or iPod touch) into an IR and RF Remote for controlling your Dish Network Satellite Box, specifically the DISH VIP722 DVR, and other similar boxes.

The layout of the buttons is similar to the remote that ships with Dish Network Satellite box. Scroll left-right between 4 screens to get to other buttons.

There are a few notable benefit of iWavit Virtual Remotes over a traditional remotes:

1. Buttons are large and easy to hit,
2. Buttons are easily seen in the dark, so no need to turn on the lights in the room just to adjust the volume,
3. No remote control clutter in your living room,
4. With the iWavit RF-to-IR Extender feature you can extend your range to over 300 ft.
5. Every button on this app is reprogrammable using the iWavit Attachment learning feature, so you can control other devices as well with this app.

When you press the buttons on the iWavit Dish screen, IR signals will be emitted from the front of the iWavit. You will be able to use this virtual remote app much as you would a regular Dish IR remote.

Furthermore, in the iWavit Dish app you can select which iWavit device to control. For example, you can opt to have all IR signals blasted from the iWavit USB dongle & IR Lightbar instead of directly from the iWavit Attachment on the iPhone.

Both the iWavit Premium and iWavit Blast! products include the long range RF control of the powerful IR blaster. With this selected, the Dish Network Receiver does not even have to be in direct line-of-sight to the IR Lightbar because the Lightbar will light up the room with invisible IR signals when it blasts. With the iWavit Blast! and Premium products you can even control your electronic devices that are hidden away inside of cabinets or in a different room.

Pressing the HOME button in the lower left of the front screen will take you to the app called iWavit Flow. This app provides a convenient cover-flow way to navigate between the many iWavit apps that are available.
