App Store Description

This is an interactive music video mixing pad - Musicjelly's new downloadable player. Inside you'll find six sets of palettes of loops containing original recordings of musicians, vocalists, dancers, skaters and spoken word artists improvising over a common key and tempo. All these artists are part of the same community although most of them have never met.

Mix the loops to create different compositions, explore different musical narratives with multiple possibilities and discover characters, locations, instruments, talents and further info. And to create the perfect mix you can modulate their individual volumes and panning.

This release follows the release of our previous interactive music video apps "The New Machine EP" for the band The Nyco Project, selected on the top 20 apps of the week in The Guardian and described as “genius” in Music Week. “JellyMix”, in June 2014, "JellyMix 2" in September 2014 and the online palettes at www.musicjelly.com. These are all different Musicjelly experiences based on the concept "everything you hear you see".

Instructions:

S = "solo" - select and isolate the sound of the loop you tap on
V = "volume" - select and drag up & down on the loop you want to modulate.
B = "balance" - select this function to adapt each loop's left/right panning
I = "info" - select this function to explore further info about each artist or recording session

Swipe from the corner of the screen to access a new palette

If you get lost, tap on "guide me"

Musicjelly is a platform-project exploring a new form of connection between artists and audience. All loops have been filmed by Musicjelly’s team - we then put them together online, in installations and as mobile apps like this one.

We're constantly evolving and would love to hear what you think is great and what you think could be better. If you’d like to find out how to support our project go to www.musicjelly.com
