Oki-Nami

Oki-Nami was first based in Hove for thirteen years before moving to its new home in the heart of Brighton next to the Theatre Royal. A clean, simple welcoming interior design contrasts contemporary minimalist styling with period Regency features of the listed building, serving a wide range of Japanese food including sushi, sashimi, noodles and soups. Now co-owned by leading Japanese Chef Mike Dodd and DJ Norman Cook, Oki-Nami offers an authentic Japanese culinary experience based around two fundamental principles ñ the quality and freshness of ingredients.
The Cocktail Bar is located on the first floor above the restaurant. Modern, stylish and intimate with a balcony providing views over the Royal Pavilion Gardens and the street life of New Rd, it offers full table service and an excellent selection of classic and bespoke cocktails, premium Japanese beers, spirits, wines and an expanding selection of Japanese tapas style platters. The bar is open from 5:00 pm till late, seven days a week and is available for private hire.
