Our Mission
We want to raise money for children’s charities and worthy causes locally, regionally, nationally and beyond whilst creating a brand associated with giving… and having some fun at the same time. Through our day jobs, we have helped raise funds for Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity and found it really fulfilling. This has sparked a fire within us where we want to do more, be more.
Our founder, David Reid, is a lover of life and if he can make something fun, he will. For a few years now he has been doing his ‘pose’ anywhere and everywhere! Family, friends and work colleagues expect the pose to pop up on their newsfeed whenever he’s away for a few days – and he generally doesn’t disappoint!
In the online world that we now live in, social media has created an environment where trends spread from one side of the globe to the other within a matter of days, sometimes even hours. So, what do we want to achieve at Pose for Life? We want to merge together the concept of raising funds for charity and having fun to create a not for profit organisation where everyone and anyone can donate a few pounds to charity, have a giggle (mostly at themselves) and tell everyone about it. Most charities are set up to fund only one company/area. As Pose for Life is not for profit, the plan is to donate funds to childrens’ charities through an application scheme first locally, then regionally, nationally and finally globally as more people get involved. Children’s causes and charities can apply for funding from the funds sourced.

Our Focus
The first recipient of the funds we generate will be Garvie Winter. Garvie lives with his family in Dundee, Scotland. He is 7 years old and has leukaemia. He has endured 5 rounds of chemotherapy and also an antibody therapy treatment, all of which have failed. His Doctors at Glasgow’s Royal Hospital for Sick Children have tried everything they can. The only thing that can help save Garvie’s life is a pioneering treatment called Chimeric Antigen Receptors Therapy (CAR T-Cell). To find out more about CAR T-cell, click here. This treatment is available in the UK but the waiting list is too long for Garvie. The treatment can be carried out in Italy at a cost of £95,000. To date, Garvie’s parents, family, friends and kind strangers have helped raise just over £20,000 which is an amazing achievement, but still a long way from what Garvie needs.
