Puss in Boots

App Description:

Classic children’s storytelling comes to the iPad with the youth oriented iBook Puss in Boots. Download this timelessly entertaining Grimm fable about happiness and greed as it has never before been presented today! Multiple story telling mediums are utilized to bring Puss in Boots vibrantly to life, allowing the story to fulfill its potential as an enthralling children’s experience, ensuring that this classic tale will be thoroughly enjoyed by young users.

A clever fairytale, this story tracks the adventures of three sons whose father – a miller – leaves them each a unique inheritance upon his death. The eldest son happily inherited his late father’s mill while the middle son inherited a dutiful donkey. The youngest son meanwhile was only left with a small cat. The youngest son worried about his prospects for making a decent living after being left only a small cat. Yet, upon voicing his concerns the cat spoke softly to the boy telling that all he needed to do was find the cat was a beautiful pair of boots and in return he would get the young boy an untold fortune. Leaving such great promises, perhaps this cat is a bit too clever for his own good.

Puss in Boots – a centuries old folk tale popularized by the Brothers Grimm – has gained a number enhanced storytelling features during its transition to the iPad while staying faithful to both the tone and content of the original story. Sunmedia’s iBook adaptation of this fable includes a full paginated text replete with beautifully colored illustrations as well as a soundtrack which progresses further along as youthful readers themselves progress through the story. Furthermore, children are treated with multiple movie clips imbedded on certain pages throughout the book, allowing them to experience this tale via animated narrative tools as well.
