App Store Description

This is the official app for the Southern Festival of Books.

Humanities Tennessee's Southern Festival of Books: A Celebration of the Written Word was first held in Nashville in October, 1989, and has been held annually since.

The Festival is free and open to the public with no tickets or registration required. Each year the Festival brings more than 250 of the nation's and region's most prominent authors, from legendary mystery writers to critically acclaimed debut novelists, poets, biographers, food writers, children's and young adult authors. Every author on the program takes part in a solo reading or a panel discussion, followed by a book signing.

In addition to author events you'll enjoy live music, book exhibitors from around the country, and favorite book characters and performances.

The Festival is held at War Memorial Plaza, Legislative Plaza, and the Nashville Public Library in downtown Nashville.
