Using a Speech Detection Algorithm, Speak to Record only records when it hears fluctuations in sound that mimic human vocals*. And because Speak to Record only records upon speech, audio recordings can be saved in small file sizes.

* Speak to Record processes the audio 100% from the watch allowing you to use the app even when away from your iPhone. Though Speak to Record works well to only pick up the human voice, because the main determinant is fluctuations in decibels other sudden fluctuations may be picked up and recorded. Speak to Record won't initiate recording to fan noises, hums or any other stable noises.*

**If other apps or processes such as Siri, Timers, or Notifications activate — Speak to Record will pause any "listening/recording" until Speak to Record is active again**
