Te Kaahui o Rauru is born of the dreams and aspirations of Ngaa Rauru Kiitahi to achieve self-determination for all Whaanau, Hapuu and Iwi who descend from Rauru the man; to speak with a strong, independent and united voice; and to live according to kaupapa handed down by their take tupuna.
Te Kaahui o Rauru is not the Iwi of Ngaa Rauru Kiitahi, rather it is an Organisation set up to work on behalf of all Marae and Hapuu of Ngaa Rauru Kiitahi and to advance the economic, social and spiritual well being of all descendants of Ngaa Rauru Kiitahi.

The purpose of this mobile app is to connect with Uri (Descendants) of Ngaa Rauru Kiitahi and to help Ngaa Rauru Kiitahi Uri connect with one another by providing access to information that was once limited. Examples of the information include Profiles of Kaimahi(staff), Te Paepae (Governance Board) and Pookai Aronui (Directors), Videos of Waiata and Stories, Photo Galleries, Notifications of up and coming events, Project Statistics and Iwi Notices.

This Te Kaahui o Rauru app has been specifically designed to be interactive and allow Uri the opportunity to complete surveys and provide feedback to help Te Kaahui o Rauru provide services and opportunities for all Uri both home and abroad.
