Try It On - Online

Try It On-Online is a mobile shopping app that helps the shopper select a clothing size that will be a good fit, a style that flatters her body shape, and she can see how it looks on her before making a purchase online.

The Shopper creates an account with Try It On-Online, or logs in with Facebook. Once she is logged in, the app prompts the shopper to enter her measurements, bust, waist, hips, and inseam in the Measurement Screen on the app. Once her measurements are entered, she is ready to go shopping at her shopping mall with over 100 stores and hundreds of brands resident right on the app.
She selects a store, and the app takes her to the retailer’s website where she can search sale merchandise, new arrivals, or her favorite designer. When she finds a garment that she likes, she taps the item with her finger and it displays on the screen. If she likes the garment, she clicks on the heart icon to save it to her virtual Dressing Room right on the app. She can save items from different stores--all in one place--and access her Dressing Room at any time of the day or night, to try them on or make a purchase. She can also save accessories to her Dressing Room by pressing the “heart” icon when viewing the item.

When the Shopper is ready to try on a garment, she presses on that garment in her dressing room and that item displays on the screen with a “red-tag” icon in the lower right corner. Pressing the red tag displays all the pertinent information about that garment: the store’s name; a description of the item; whether the garment flatters her body shape; a link to her recommended sizes; and a link to the store’s website to make a purchase.

When the shopper presses the words, “Your Suggested Sizes,” on the red tag screen, the app recommends a size for tops, jackets, sweaters, skirts, pants, dresses, and outerwear based on her actual measurements and the store's size chart.

A description of the item also appears on the red tag screen along with a message that tells the shopper if the style she has selected is a good look for her body shape. The message “Looks Good!” means the style is flattering to her shape, and the message, “Nice! But let’s keep looking,” means the garment is not the best style for her shape. The measurements that the shopper entered in the app determines what body shape she is, straight, apple, hourglass, inverted triangle, or pear. This app--her very own personal shopper--makes a style recommendation based on the shopper’s body shape.
Press the word “Purchase” and this link takes the Shopper to the retailer’s website where she can enter the recommended size and purchase the item. All credit card transactions and shipping are handled by the retailer.

Prior to purchasing the garment, the shopper has the option of taking a selfie and swapping her face for the model’s to see how the garment will look on her, and she can share her new look with friends on social media before making the final purchase.

A Shopper who uses the Try It On-Online app can purchase clothing online with confidence: the size selected for her based on her actual measurements will be a good fit and the style will flatter her figure. This app will also save Shoppers time and money, and reduce the amount of time spent returning online clothing purchases that don’t fit.
