App Store Description

Calculate Virginia child support based on changed guidelines effective July 1, 2014. Provides step-by-step guidance for which calculator to use (there are actually 3 of them!). Provides inputs for all fields for the simplest and most complex calculations. NO Internet connection required to operate! Great for courtroom use!

Extensive help available for the entire process as well as field-by-field help.

Set the calculation mode to either "continuous" mode so that each change shows the newly calculated result immediately or to "non-continuous" mode so that all information is entered before the calculation is shown. Expert users will want "continuous" mode, but first-time users should leave that option off.

Send results of your calculations to email address(es) as PDF attachments. Permits one default email address but multiple addresses for any specific calculation are permitted.

Works on iPhones and iPads but optimized to work in portrait on small screens.

A request: this application has taken many hours to create and is our first attempt at an app for phones. Please be patient with the program and us! We welcome any comments and suggestions you might have on how the application works or appears on your device. We will always respond to your comments and requests as quickly as we can. And where we can make changes that we think will benefit everyone, we'll make them as quickly as we can and get out new releases.

If you have ANY problems with the app, PLEASE DO NOT leave negative comments with the store. Tell us directly so we can do something about it. Email [email protected], and we'll get back to you as quickly as we can.

Important note about updates: you are entitled to free updates if they are necessary to make sure the application is running correctly. However, if the guidelines change or significant additional features are added, you will be asked to purchase the next version of the program. What you've already purchased won't stop working so you can keep using it BUT be aware that if the guidelines change, this program may not be producing the correct results!!! Be sure your version is up-to-date!

This program was designed and tested by people who have been thoroughly trained in how to calculate child support. Please be sure you also are trained or check out the results with an attorney, mediator, or court official. Most importantly: This app is NOT a substitute for obtaining legal advice from an attorney who can provide legal advice as it relates to your specific situation.

The VASupportCalc.com project is sponsored by Resolution Point LLC, a mediation and CDFA (Certified Divorce Financial Analyst) firm located in Northern Virginia. While we've taken extensive measures to test this application and the results, your use of the application indicates your willingness to be ultimately responsible for the calculations and how they're used. There's never any harm in double- and triple-checking!
