Volt - Ridesharing, Transportation in İstanbul

Volt is İstanbul’s smartest and most affordable transportation alternative. It connects passengers with verified car owners already in traffic and going in the same direction. Volt allows passengers to get to their destination in the comfort of a car for only the cost of the ride and car owners to reduce their driving expenses by sharing their ride. In addition to taxi, metro, IETT bus, and metrobus, Istanbul citizens now have a new transportation alternative, ridesharing with Volt.

By matching car owners and passengers in real-time, Volt is working to fill the empty seats in traffic. It aims to bring a solution to traffic in Istanbul with ridesharing.

How to use Volt as a passenger in Istanbul:

Volt will connect you with car owners already going in the same direction, and you will share only the cost of the ride. For example, Volt will get you from Taksim to Bağdat Caddesi for less than 10₺ in the comfort of a car.

Volt will connect you with passengers going in the same direction who are willing to pay for the cost of your ride. By driving with Volt, you can earn back up to 500₺ per month.
- Just tap on “Start Driving”
- Accept verified passengers going in your direction
- Get paid over the app at the end of each ride
- Earn Mile Points & rewards even if no passengers are found

- Mutual Friends - See your Facebook mutual friends with other users
- Rating and Reviews - Every user is rated and reviewed after each ride
- Accept / Decline - Who you share a ride with is completely up to you!
- Communities - Enjoy ridesharing with people you live, work, and go to school with! Verified by email or ID.
- Females Only - Choose to only share your ride with other females (of course, only available to female users)
- Car Owner Verifications - Car owners are interviewed and car documents are verified
