This challenging episodic RPG uses the GPS in your iOS device in a fresh, unique way.

A unique combat mechanic. Within X-Tactics' combat engine, you have two factors that play into how well your attack works. There are boosts that you have to connect, and then you must tap the screen when the combat indicator is in precisely the right location. This determines how well your attack does, and can mean the difference between missing your target altogether and destroying it utterly.

You can defend yourself, of course. When you are attacked, you must defend yourself. You have natural defense capabilities, but there's also an element of skill involved. How precisely you can tap the combat slider will determine how effectively you defend yourself. It moves quickly, so you need excellent reflexes.

When all else fails, blow something up. For a potentially quick end to a battle stage, you can blow up some of the objects on the battlefield. This can do damage to you, of course, but it is very effective in wiping out several attackers at once.

What is it about?

X-Tactics, or "Cross Tactics," is a GPS-based episodic RPG with new chapters each week, that takes place in a world, similar to our own, but one where top-secret government agencies and secret societies, maintain the peace and world order by manipulating the truth, news and history. As the player, you are in charge of the X-12, one of the most influential secret organisations in the world, commanding a ragtag cast of secret agents, adventurers, and treasure hunters, dedicated to maintaining world order through suppression and control of the truth.

Why we love it

The gameplay is a fresh take on the RPG genre, as it blends traditional turn-based tactics with a bit of fighting game combat mechanics, placing player skill and tactical sense as key for victory. X-Tactics is also unique in it's use of GPS and local weather conditions to affect tactics, skills, and also to unlock secret treasures, and side quests, as you delve into missions of urban exploration to protect your hometown.

We also constantly add new Agent characters. Please note however that all Characters are balanced against each other, X-Tactics is not pay 2 win. Premium Agents exist to bring new combat mechanics to the table. X-Tactics prides it self in not being a stats game, our expert testers can clear practically all missions with Level 5 Agents and their sharp Tactical skills, and the proper weather conditions!
Also unlocking Premium Agents opens up their own unique missions and storylines. To purchase new agents we now use the X-Coin system, which allows players to pay to directly unlock new Agents anytime, or to login daily to accumulate enough X-Coins to unlock the Agents for free. However your Purchases will also remove ads and help us keep adding new content for everyone on a weekly basis.
