Check before you go. Yelp is a staple app for many. You can find nearby restaurants, businesses, or services and see their ratings and what others think through user reviews. There are even photos and general business information should you decide to contact them before you go. It's a one-stop-shop for anyone who is new in town, or even at home.
Check reviews and leave your own. Before you go to any new business, checking reviews is a great way to get a general feel for a place that you've never been to before. Reading the user submitted reviews can help you figure out if a place is worth checking out or not, but you do need to be careful about those reviews that are a bit unfair.
