Eliminate Pro's Recharge Time Reduced To 120 Seconds (Updated)
November 18, 2009
UPDATE: The promotion is now over, sorry folks. According to ngmoco, the recharge times returned to normal at 12:00 P.M. PDT.
In a move that will certainly make many of you Eliminaters quite happy, ngmoco has decided to reduce the energy recharge time in Eliminate Pro to 120 seconds as a way of saying thanks for making the game a huge success.
ngmoco has fiddled with Eliminate Pro's energy recharge time quite a bit since the game's launch, but dropping it all the way down to 120 seconds is absolutely fantastic for anyone itching to play over and over again. The change took place sometime yesterday evening, which led to a massive rush of people trying to get some quick games. The servers took quite a hit, however, as it was nearly impossible to get into a game without having to wait a couple of minutes, but things seem to have calmed down as of this morning.
The shortened recharge time will only be around for a limited time, so get some games in while you can. At 120 seconds, you shouldn't have a problem playing game after game, so put on a pot of coffee and go earn some credits.
Eliminate Pro has no doubt been a big success. The game has been able to hover in the top 50 of the Top Grossing Apps list for quite some time now, which is amazing considering the game is available to download for free and technically play for free. Eliminate Pro has since dropped out of the Top Grossing Apps list, but that can be expected since the energy recharge time has nearly been removed, and no one has a reason to pay for energy at this time. When the recharge time returns to its normal duration, there is little doubt the game will jump right back into the Top Grossing Apps list.
Have any of you ever paid for energy in Eliminate Pro? I have yet to take that plunge, but I certainly have been tempted to.
