Super Monkey Ball was one of the first apps in the iPhone App Store, so it makes sense it's one of the first in the iPad App Store. The game isn't simply an upscaled iPhone version, as it has new features and content. Of the 125 included levels only ten are new ones from the far east, but all the rest have enhanced graphics.
The biggest feature is a new multiplayer mini-game allowing four players on one iPad launching orbs at each other. There are other new mini-games including monkey target and monkey golf as the game takes more from the console version. You can play head to head against friends on any of the levels as well.
The game obviously has higher resolution graphics, and even new environmental effects making it a whole new experience on the iPad in addition to the features above. Super Monkey Ball 2: Sakura Edition will be priced at $14.99, and will be available April 3rd along with the iPad, note that price is subject to change.
