Repackaged iPhone 3GS Ready for June 24th

June 22, 2010

While many are anxiously awaiting the launch of the iPhone 4 on June 24th, others are waiting on the new reduced price of the iPhone 3GS. As we see from this early photo, Apple is also getting ready for it's launch by doing a slight refresh. As spotted on BR8D4ON.com, the iPhone 3GS that will be sold  on June 24th will be an 8GB model with iOS4 preloaded and have revised packaging. While Apple has been going with increasingly smaller packaging over the years, the iPhone 3GS seems to be packed in roughly the same size box as before. However, the box does clearly show an iPhone with an iOS4 homescreen instead of the iPhone OS 3.0 homescreen seen on previous packaging. Inside the box we expect very little change. We assume it will come with all the usual suspects: headphones, USB sync cable, and a power adapter. For those wanting an iPhone, but not wanting to spend $200 or more, this is a great alternative.
