Steve Jobs: We've Sold 3 Million iPhone 4 Handsets In Three Weeks

July 16, 2010

That's right, 3 million is the magic number. Apple CEO Steve Jobs has just kicked off the company's "AntennaGate" Press Conference by reminding us all that the iPhone 4 isn't that bad. Making the comments from center stage, Jobs told the crowd:
We've sold well over 3 million since we launched it 3 weeks ago. It's been judged the number one smartphone.
You don't need me to tell you that that's a heck of a lot of handsets - especially considering how well-publicized the phone's "antenna issue" was. And, Steve's right in stating that the iPhone 4 is the best on the market; even Consumer Reports, who cannot recommend the handset, can't deny that the iPhone 4 is number one in its field. We'll be posting throughout the press conference, so keep checking back for regular updates! And thanks to Engadget for the info.
