Lordi The Game: Rock Hard And Slay Beasts, To The Beat

August 9, 2010

If you're a fan of Eurovision Song Contest winner heavy metal rock band, Lordi, then prepare yourself for a blood curdling treat. The Finnish metal band that screamed "Hard Rock Hallelujah" on TV sets across Europe way back in 2006 have recently released their very own application, dubbed Lordi The Game. The game, which has been released to promote the band's new album (Babez for Breakfast), has a surprisingly interesting concept. Instead of tapping along to a song, Guitar Hero-style, players embark upon a quest to destroy horde after horde of beasts quite literally "to the beat." This means that Lordi fans will have to tap in time to one of the band's two new tracks in order to lay waste to whatever supernatural beings they encounter throughout the game. And, as each completed level grants the user access to exclusive footage from the band, Lordi fans are really going to want to storm through this game fast. There are six stages for players to work through, and three difficulty levels to choose from. And, what's more, the band members themselves have provided voice-overs for the game! Personally, bands like Lordi frighten me, so I'll be staying well clear of this new application. However, if you're a metal fan with a burning desire to kick some supernatural butt, then head over to the App Store and check out Lordi The Game now! It's priced at $3.99.
