Apple Gives Game Center-Enabled Apps Special Distinction

September 25, 2010
Today Apple gives special treatment to Game Center-enabled apps on the App Store. After featuring some of the first apps that joined Game Center in a dedicated Applist, all Game Center-enabled apps now feature a special distinction at the upper right corner of their iTunes Store description. It's a nice feature, as it's great to be able to see right away what apps work with Game Center, but why not take it even further? For example, I'd love to know what apps are optimized for the Retina display. Also, it would be nice to see this on the mobile App Store too. Hopefully this will be Apple's next step. As a reminder, Game Center, which was announced last spring, allows developers a way to enhance their game app user’s experience with social networking features. These include: leader boards, friend invites, challenges, and matchmaking. You can add me on Game Center now, I'm Xonder
