Apple TV Jailbreak Is Possible, Achieved Through SHAtter Exploit

September 28, 2010
Not long ago, we told you about SHAtter: a new exploit which will soon allow us to jailbreak every single iDevice, ever. Yesterday, we mentioned that Dev-Team member, MuscleNerd, had managed to achieve an iPod touch 4G jailbreak using the very same exploit. Now, we're hearing that an Apple TV jailbreak is possible, also using the SHAtter exploit. As Engadget reports, the news is hardly surprising. Apple TV runs a version of the iOS, so it makes sense that it too can be jailbroken using the familiar exploit. This is great news. Many prospective Apple TV customers were perturbed by the fact that the device couldn't run iOS applications. However, once a jailbreak has been achieved, Apple TV owners will be able to interact with their device in style. Kind of reminds you of the pre-App Store days, right? If you're an Apple TV owner, let us know whether you're considering jailbreaking your device in the comments section below. We'd love to hear from you!
