PadTab: Stick Your iPad To A Wall, Any Wall

September 9, 2010
Not long ago, we told you about a pretty cool iPad case called The Wallee (review coming soon). The case comes with a protective shell (for your iPad), and a mount (for a wall). Once you've chosen the golden spot and attached the mount to a wall, by simply putting your iPad in the case, you can attach it to the wall with ease. Kind of like living the iPad + Velcro dream, Velcro-free. Well, the idea seems to have caught on, because a similar case is now available, and from what I've heard, it might just be a little bit better. The newbie is called PadTab, and it retails online for $29.99. First off, this is a lot cheaper than The Wallee (which is priced at $49.95 AUD, $46.20 USD). We might see The Wallee reducing its prices now that there's competition on the block, but for the meantime, PadTab is the cheaper case. Additionally, while The Wallee provides users with only one wall mount (more are available to purchase online), PadTab ships two mounts with every device purchased. This is great, as it means users can mount their iPad in two different places for no extra cost. Both cases work in almost exactly the same way, and unfortunately both require a mount to be permanently attached to one of your walls. We'll have a review on The Wallee in a couple of days, so keep your eyes peeled. And, hopefully, we'll be able to put The Wallee and PadTab head-to-head in a special review, to discover which is better. It may be that The Wallee is worth the extra cash, or, PadTab might just be the way to go. We'll find out soon enough. In the meantime, you can check out both products at The Wallee and PadTab.
