Newest Star In Hollywood Is The iPad

October 25, 2010
It looks like the iPad is fast becoming the must have device for those that make Hollywood tick. According to the New York Times, Apple’s tablet device is changing the way movers and shakers are communicating ideas in Tinseltown. Producers are using the iPad to show off movie stills, while actors are using it to review script revisions and to blowoff steam between scenes. According to the Times article:
The iPad is the must-carry accessory on sound stages this season, visible behind the scenes of television and film shoots and in business meetings. When Paula Abdul, the former “American Idol” judge, wants to preview her new dance show for prospective sponsors, she turns on her iPad and pulls up a YouTube video. When Julie Benz, a star of “No Ordinary Family” on ABC, has downtime between shoots, she plays Angry Birds, the popular physics-based puzzle game.
The iPad is also showing up as a product placement on some of today's most popular programs. In addition to being featured in an April episode of "No Ordinary Family," the iPad was recently featured on an episode of "The Office." The article is a great read and certainly shows us that the iPad has taken off successfully in Hollywood.
