Qwiki For iPad Might Change The Way You Search The Web

If scanning through Wikipedia pages to research something is too much of an effort, Qwiki, an upcoming service that's a cross between Wolfram|Alpha and YouTube is definitely for you. Best of all, it's coming to the iPad. First, some background. A “Qwiki” is a short, interactive story generated from content available on the web about any topic you want. Unlike traditional rich media content, all Qwikis are created on the fly from web sources (without any human intervention). You need to see it to understand it (iDevice-friendly version):

The service is designed to initially run through Qwiki's website, and you can already sign up to join the Qwiki "Alpha." Interestingly, they're working on an iPad app, and have shown a tiny bit of it to TechCrunch:
