Few bands today have as large an international following as U2. Now a new app for the iPad combines the band’s tour schedule with amazing video clips of them in concert.
The U2 Tour Guide for iPad app was recently released in the App Store. The app offers details of the U2 360˚ Tour 2010 and 2011. It includes live updates of each concert’s setlist while U2 is on stage. As each date comes and goes, YouTube videos from the event are posted too.
The U2 Tour Guide for iPad includes both the band’s 2010 Europe and Oceania dates, and 2011 events in Africa and North America.
You can also search for tickets and VIP packages for each date from within the app.
The app's developer, Daniele Fruzzetti has created a masterpiece for U2 fans. Still, if you're interested in purchasing this app for both the iPhone/iPod touch and iPad, it will cost you. Each is a separate app, meaning you'll have to pay twice. Fruzzetti would have been wise to offer a universal app for use across all Apple iDevices. She did not.
Both the U2 Tour Guide for iPad app ($2.99) and its iPhone counterpart ($.99) are available today in the App Store.
