As the Firemint team continues to assemble and polish the upcoming Real Racing 2 for iPhone and iPod touch, users continue to ask for any details possible. Seeing as the project still has up to three weeks left before they'd need to break their hopes on a pre-Christmas release, we're only getting tastes of what the experience will hold. Today, Firemint has released a few screenshots. Because there isn't any new feature information, I'll recap everything revealed thus far. - Officially licensed cars, others will be announced later: • 2010 Chevrolet Corvette C6.R • 2006 BMW Z4 M Coupe Race Car • 2010 Ford Shelby Mustang GT500 • 2010 #33 Jaguar RSR XKR GT • 2010 Nissan GT-R (R35) • 2010 Volvo C30 STCC Race Car - Overall Features: • iPhone 4 and fourth generation iPod touch optimizations • New optional heads-up display (HUD) with mini-map • Compatible with older iDevices: iPhone 2G, 3G, 3GS, and any generation iPod touch - Extensive Career mode: • 10+ hours gameplay • Win races to earn in-game currency • Buy and sell cars • Unlock new tracks and championship events to progress your career - Car customization: • Performance enhancements • Respraying For those looking to outfit their iDevice with a bit of Real Racing 2 style, Firemint has made a few Retina display quality wallpapers available for fans: RR2 wallpaper 1, RR2 wallpaper 2, and RR2 wallpaper 3. To apply them on your iDevice, tap one of the links, then tap and hold on the image, and finally tap "Save Image." There are two ways to assign it as a wallpaper or lock screen image. Go to the Settings app, tap Wallpapers, tap on your current wallpaper and lock screen, and choose the new image from your camera roll; or go to the Photos app, tap on the wallpaper image, then tap on the share button in the bottom-left, and finally choose "Use as Wallpaper." Embedded below are the cinematic trailer and in development preview videos, plus the three new screenshots. The car featured in the preview is the 2010 Nissan GT-R (R35). Along with the GT-R, the 2010 Ford Shelby Mustang GT500 and 2010 #33 Jaguar RSR XKR GT appear in the trailer. [gallery link="file"]
