Space Snake ($.99 -> Free, 1.3 MB): Your classic game of Snake, only this one features tilt controls and a neon theme. It also includes a quick tutorial and online leaderboards.

MovieScanner ($2.99 -> Free, 2.2 MB): Allows you to build a comprehensive list of your own movies by scanning barcodes or inputting codes manually. Each movie is displayed with its title, genre, and cover, and you can scroll through your collection in a Cover Flow-like mode by holding your device in landscape orientation or you can just search for a specific one. It also features movie details, direct links to movie trailers, the ability to add notes and export data.
MovieScanner is available for free today only (02/17). It has a 4.0-star rating with a total of 14 ratings.
Moxie ($.99 -> Free, 6.2 MB): A relaxing word game where you are required to form as many words as you can from 51 letter tiles. It doesn’t feature a timer, so you can play at your own pace, but tiles are limited. The game is quite a bit different from the usual word game, so an in-depth tutorial is included.
Moxie is available for free for a limited time. It has a 4.5-star rating with a total of 32 ratings.
Universal:
The Greedy Sponge ($.99 -> Free, 11.9 MB): Feed the greedy sponge by disconnecting large groups of Thingies. Thingies can only be disconnected by connecting five or more of the same color, and you can create larger chains by pushing them together. The game's speed picks up as you progress.

Fantastic 4 In A Row ($.99 -> Free, 62 MB): Basically a Connect 4 game with three different themes, 10 songs, local multiplayer that can be activated with a bump, and stat tracking by round.

Moxie HD ($.99 -> Free, 5 MB): Like the iPhone version above, only with iPad-optimized graphics and controls.

Multitouch Whiteboard ($1.99 -> Free, 795.4 KB): A multitouch-capable whiteboard for your iPad. It features five customizable markers, undo and redo, the ability to import your own image, and the ability to store up to nine different boards at once.

iDork XL ($.99 -> Free, 57.2 MB): Help iDork get to the exit in each level by drawing platforms for him to walk on. Tap any spot on the screen to get him to walk towards it, but watch out for moving objects and try to avoid falling into the abyss, otherwise you will have to start over. The game includes a total of 64 levels.

If you are a developer who would like to get your app included in our “Apps Gone Free” daily lists, here’s our basic set of rules:
- It must have at least a three-star average rating at the time it goes free.
- The app must not have been free numerous times (3+) over the last six months.
- The free version of your app must not include ads.
