The popular photo sharing app, Instagram, has just received a great update. Now, users of the app can enjoy an improved news feed, a "tilt shift effect," and a variety of sharing improvements. Specifically, users can now share photos via e-mail. Furthermore, in this version of Instagram (1.5) it is possible to "@ mention" a friend by tapping and holding a username. Additionally, users can now geo tag without having to enter a specific location. All are handy improvements to the app. However, the star of this update is undoubtably the improved news feed. Now, users can view a lot more information about the people they follow. Besides seeing photos and comments, you can now see the comments friends post, the people they follow, and the photos they like. Lastly, this version of Instagram features a "tilt shift effect." With this tool, users can blur a portion of an image using a slider, without having to leave the application. Currently, Instagram is available to download in the App Store for free. Check out the updated version, and let us know your thoughts in the comments.
