Apple's "Back To School" Promotion Starts Today - Smart Signs Now In Store?

According to previous reports, today should be the day Apple's "Back to School" promotion kicks-off in US Apple Stores, at least. The offering? From what we've heard, if students buy a Mac, they get a free $100 iTunes Gift Card.
While some originally expected the promotion to launch at WWDC (or before), many have settled on today - Wednesday, June 15 - as as being Apple's "chosen day" for the offer. According to 9to5Mac, some "sources" have claimed that Apple Store signage changed last night (by as much as 80 percent), and that an interactive iPad "smart sign" - referred to as "Smart Sign 1.01" - will display the promotion in-store.
Last, 9to5Mac's "tipsters" claim the promotion will hit the UK, too, with a £65 iTunes Gift Card offering. The website stresses that this hasn't yet been confirmed, however.
We'll keep you posted. In the meantime, send me an email if Apple's "Back to School" promotion is now live in an Apple Store near you (with pictures, too!).
