Oceanhouse Media Helps To Share Financial Lessons With Kids Through It's Not What You've Got!

June 15, 2011
Oceanhouse Media's latest digital adaptation, made possible through their new collaboration with Hay House Publishing, couldn't come at a better time. It's Not What You've Got provides important explanation and lessons regarding the perspective on the importance of wealth. It's Not What You've Got is a combination of the lessons explained by the esteemed author and speaker Dr. Wayne W. Dyer and contributions by the passionate children's booth author Kristina Tracy. Something of a simple and child-relatable version of some of Dyer's self-development speeches, this children's book looks to teach children of around the ages of four to eight years old about the social aspects of wealth. Not steps to find out how to make money, It's Not What You've Got helps kids understand that money management is important, the satisfaction of earning every dollar on your own, and having excessive wealth isn't the most important thing in the world. This is certainly a nice change of pace compared to all of those typical adult books being sold today praising "get rich quick" schemes involving using tons of government programs and whatnot. The logical and respectful financial perspectives contained within It's Not What You've Got will hopefully last your child a lifetime. The app has three ways to experience the story: "Read it Myself" allows reading and viewing the material in the same manner that traditional books would offer, "Read to Me" highlights each word as it is professional narrated, and "Auto Play" adds narration but also automatically turns the page when it is completed. This is a nice feature for very young children, or to just make the experience a little more like a movie. Dr. Dyer's lessons, including his own narration, are complemented by music and the wonderful artwork of Stacy Heller Budnick. It's Not What You've Got is a universal app compatible with iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch running iOS 3.0 or later, and available in the App Store now for $3.99.
