This App Will Help Your Preschooler Learn Animal Names
Photo Safari! ($0.99) by Shortstack is an educational app with a bit of a seek and find style to it. If your little one loves learning about animals, my guess is they will enjoy Photo Safari!
This adorable app focuses on animal recognition. A child safari guide asks your child to find a particular animal within a group of animals.
Once your child finds the animal in question, he or she can snap a picture of it and put the picture in the photo album. As they continue to find the correct animals, the safari gets more difficult (more animals added to the scene). The animation is pleasantly uncluttered. The voice over is very cute as well.
Photo Safari! is a great app for kids who just can’t get enough of learning animal names. The app is available for both iPhone and iPad (though we tried the iPad version for this review). I’d love to see a few more features, but all in all, it’s a simple, easy-to-navigate app for young ones.
