Capture Every Brush Stroke On Video With ibisPaint X - Social Painting App

August 9, 2011
Now you can channel your inner Bob Ross with ibis' latest and completely free iPad app, ibisPaint X - Social Painting App. And don't worry, you don't have to just paint "happy little tress," but you sure can! ibisPaint X includes loads of different artistic functions, all conveniently available in the toolbar at the bottom of the screen, in order to allow you to create beautiful digital works of art. The app allows you to choose from 19 different kinds of brushes with the ability to change their parameters on the fly. Want to add some pixel perfect detail? Don't worry, you can use the multitouch controls to zoom in up to 3,000 percent! If you make a mistake, you can undo up to 100 steps or even reapply your strokes with redo. Entire sections can be filled in and moved using magic wand and lasso functions as well. ibisPaint X also features 30 saved colors and the ability to select new ones via a color circle, HSB sliders, and RGB sliders. You can easily match colors using the color picker tool, or just tap, hold, and then drag your finger to your desired color on the canvas to select one. The app also features a silky sooth 60 frames per second paint rate, real-time brush preview, inversion, a gallery for all of your works of art, and the ability to add layers to your toolbar via in-app purchase. All of these features are great, but what sets ibisPaint X apart from similar apps are its social functions. After creating a work of art, you can share it directly with friends, family, and even your Facebook or Twitter followers. You can put your work on display for the rest of the ibisPaint X world as well, and allow your peers to comment and vote on it. But that's not all, you can also share your entire art-making process via YouTube. The video will not only display each and every brush stroke you used to create your beautiful painting, but also which tools you used and basically anything else you did within the app. If you're at all interested sharing your artistic talent with the world, you should definitely check out ibisPaint X - Social Painting App. It's available free of charge, while the layer functionality is available in-app for $.99.
