Since it arrived on the scene in December 2009, Angry Birds and its two sequels have become a worldwide phenomenon. Now, the folks at Ask Your Target Market (AYTM) have analyzed the popularity of Angry Birds and put their findings in infographic form. Some of the results may surprise you.
For example, worldwide, people play Angry Birds 200 million minutes per day. That’s equal to 16 years of game play every hour of every day!
The company behind Angry Birds, Rovio, is reportedly valued at over $1 billion, or about the same as JetBlue Airlines.
In a bad mood? Angry Birds is said to improve the moods of 58 percent of those who play the game. Unfortunately, 5 percent report a worsened mood.
