iOS Apps Gone Free: Mexiball, Blockado Desert, Accordéon, And More

Roll balls through paths to group like ones together in Donut Games' latest title, Mexiball. You can also go puzzle solving with Bitfield's second block sliding title, Blockado Desert, and create beautiful music from your very own digital accordion.

iPhone:

Swipy-(e-mail yourself or save in Dropbox by swiping) ($0.99 -> Free, 1.2 MB): Swipy allows you to quickly capture notes or photos and have them sent to your inbox or Dropbox with a swipe. It's as easy as entering the necessary email and Dropbox information, and then just typing or taking a photo from within the app. Swipe to share. Couldn't be easier.

Blocks Up ($0.99 -> Free, 27.5 MB): A twisted (or flipped) version of Tetris. Instead of blocks dropping in from the top of the screen, they float up from the bottom. You can tap and drag to move blocks all around the screen, and tap once on top of them to spin them. The game includes 10 levels with obstacles and specific challenges, and an endless mode so you can play until your fingers tire out.

Blocks Up is available for free for a limited time. It has a 5-star rating with a total of 10 ratings.

Max Damage ($0.99 -> Free, 18.1 MB): Take control of Max, an ordinary kid with a cannon, and try to cause as much damage as possible in this physics-based puzzle game. You're able to launch balls out of the cannon by simply touching and dragging your finger on the screen. The game includes 150 levels, a three-star rating system, and Game Center integration.

Max Damage is available for free today only (10/10). It has a 4-star rating with a total of 17 ratings.

Blockado Desert ($1.99 -> Free, 19.0 MB): The second title in the Blockado sliding puzzle game series. Blockado Desert requires you to drag blocks in order to free up the many treasures trapped within. The game includes a total of 70 puzzles, an adjustable camera, undo and redo, the ability to create and share your own puzzles, and Game Center integration.

Blockado Desert is available for free today only (10/10). It has a 5-star rating with a total of 9 ratings.

Universal:

Mexiball ($0.99 -> Free, 8.6 MB): A puzzle game by Donut Games that has you rolling balls down paths in order to group like ones together. You're provided with a limited amount of rolling time, so finding the most direct path and allowing the balls to roll on their own will go a long way in helping you obtain a perfect three-star rating. The game includes 80 puzzles, multiple solutions for each puzzle, and Game Center integration.

Mexiball is available for free for a limited time. It has a 4.5-star rating with a total of 210 ratings.

Nuts!™ ($0.99 -> Free, 12.1 MB): An endless climbing game where you control Jake, a nimble squirrel, and you must try to get him as high up the Infinitree as possible. Jake has obstacles like branches, spikes, and ice in his way, and you can avoid them by tilting your device from side to side. You can also collect a variety of power-ups and purchase new ones with the coins you earn. The game features Game Center integration as well.

Nuts!™ is available for free for a limited time. It has a 4.5-star rating with a total of 4083 ratings.

iPad:

Accordéon ($3.99 -> Free, 12.8 MB): Show off your musical prowess with Accordeon. Musical masters can play freely using the 19 keys and eight buttons, or you can download one of the built-in songs to learn how to play this magical instrument. The app also includes multi-touch controls, and a major/minor switch to produce different tones.
