You're Almost There In iMissile Shot
iMissile Shot ($0.99) by Gp Imp. has you trying to eke out as much fuel as possible just to reach your next goal.
The setup is easy enough, you control a Bullet-Bill-type-missile by tilting your iDevice. Pull back on the missile nestled in a sling launcher and send it on its way. Collect fuel as you go for using speed bursts.
Apparently operating on cartoon physics, the missile will slow to a crawl before finally running out of juice and falling. However, you're aces if you can make it to the next launcher before this happens. Fire the missile again and see if you can make it to the next one.
Perhaps the most fun about this game is the cringing and wincing as you wait for that next launcher to show and keep you going.
The learning curve for this game is a little steep, despite its easy rules. For starters, titling the iDevice isn't a true one to one ratio; an exaggerated tilt results in a little scoot to the side.
Once you have the steering under control, then it becomes an issue of using your speed bursts at the right moment. Burning through your fuel or not even using it will result in the bullet falling into the ocean (which for some reason creates a series of explosions).
Finally, even with all of your bullet navigating skills, you still have to watch out for spinning blades of death. One little touch, and you're exploding on the ocean again.
This is a fun game to play, though it could use some polish. More sensitive controls and a little more tolerance for bumping into things would definitely help this game.
However, the anticipation this game generates as you hope that you'll make the next launcher is definitely addicting.
