Jailbreak Only: Curiosa - Get Notifications For Cydia Store Updates

April 10, 2012
A few weeks ago, we told you about AppUpdateNotifier - a jailbreak tweak that sent out a notification when iOS App Store updates were available to download. If you're looking for a similar jailbreak package that can notify you when updates are available in the Cydia Store, we would recommend you download Curiosa. Developed by Ryan Petrich (@rpetrich), this free jailbreak tweak checks the Cydia Store for package updates and changes, and sends out a notification when something is available to download. You can configure the tweak's fetch interval in the Settings app, and whether Curiosa should require a Wi-Fi Internet connection or not. Furthermore, it's also possible to configure an Activator action with the tweak, in order to perform a manual refresh. In order to download Curiosa, you'll need to have Ryan Petrich's repository added to your list of sources in the Cydia app. To do this, head over to the "Manage" tab, touch "Sources" and then "Edit," in the top-right corner. Next, hit "Add" in the top-left corner, and type or copy in the following text: http://rpetri.ch/repo. As mentioned, Curiosa is available to download for free. Just make sure you've added Ryan Petrich's repository! Enjoy, and if you have any thoughts regarding this jailbreak tweak, be sure to post them in the comments. [via Redmond Pie]
